Transitional Care Unit – Selkirk
Our 15 bed short-stay transitional care unit provides the best possible holistic (physical, mental and social) care in a safe, respectful, welcoming and supportive environment, while you prepare to return to your home or move to your new place of residence.

Meals are provided by Selkirk Regional Health Centre using a meals on wheels process. Medical staff will determine dietary requirements.

A plan to help you return home or to a new place of residence
Upon admission to the transitional care unit, we work with you to establish a plan that will see you discharged home or to your new place of residence with the confidence that you will be able to manage safely. You will be assessed regularly and your plan will include consultation with services such as physiotherapy, dietitians and home care all in close co-operation with you and your family.
