Supportive Housing
When you’re not requiring the level of care provided in a personal care home, other options exist. The Long Term & Continuing Care Association of Manitoba has outlined options available for seniors housing in Manitoba to help you narrow down the options.

Arborg
House of Hope & Mary Thorarinson
Estates
Situated in the Town of Arborg along the scenic Icelandic River, both the House of Hope and Mary Thorarinson Estates are owned and operated by the Arborg Seniors Housing Corporation. There are 16 Independent Living suites in the House of Hope and 32 Assisted Living suites in Mary Thorarinson Estates respectively with 26 Supportive Housing suites spread across the two buildings. In Supportive Housing, services offered include: 24 hour on-site support and supervision, hot, nutritious meals, light housekeeping, laundry services and recreational activities.
Beausejour
Stony Plains Terrace
Stony Plains Terrace is a 30 suite elderly persons housing unit juxtaposed to East-Gate Lodge Personal CareHome at 606 James Ave. in Beausejour. Each suite consists of a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Enhanced services such as meals are available for purchase by the tenants as desired.
This facility currently has 27 supportive housing suites and 3 independent suites. Supportive housing offers on-site support services, meals and essential homemaking for frail and/or cognitively impaired elderly persons when they require 24 hour on site support. Residents contribute to the suite rental and service components. Interlake-Eastern RHA is responsible for services and care component.
Pinawa
The Ironwood
Includes 24 suites for 50+ Independent Living and 12 Supportive Housing Suites on a 35 acre property surrounded by nature and abundant wildlife. Interlake-Eastern RHA provides all of meals, housekeeping and the 24 hour companion services for the Supportive Housing tenants. The supportive housing suites are 500 sq, ft. one bedroom units with a spacious bedroom, living room, a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave, a large bathroom with a step in shower and ample storage space. There is a large dining room with access to a patio area and a sunroom overlooking garden are as for the tenants to enjoy. Springfield Place
The complex is conveniently accessed from Main Street in Oakbank and includes a welcoming front entrance, parking stalls and beautifully landscaped grounds. The building is situated in such a way that provides tenants with easy access to a variety of services that support seniors. Springfield place is a 24 suite complex with 12 Independent Living and 12 Supportive Housing suites. The building is owned and operated by The Oakbank-Springfield Kinsmen Seniors Complex Inc. and provides meals and housekeeping with the Interlake-Eastern RHA being responsible for the care component.
Each suite has individual
thermostats, access to common areas, state of the art kitchen, accessible doorways, entrances and common areas. Springfield Place offers leisure activities and entertainment in a social congregate environment developed specifically for seniors. In Supportive Housing, services offered include: 24 hour on-site support and supervision, hot, nutritious meals, light housekeeping, laundry services and recreational activities. At Springfield Place Supportive Housing, apartment living is combined with the provision of services to promote the independence of the seniors residing here.
Riverton
Icelandic River Lodge,
Located in a tranquil, resort-like community along the Icelandic River, offering 30 Independent Living suites and 9 Supportive Housing suites. The Icelandic River Lodge Supportive Housing is the RIGHT choice for seniors who want the freedom and privacy of living in a luxurious and spacious suite combined with support and care options. The building is owned and operated by Riverton-Bifrost Holdings Inc. which provides meals and housekeeping with the Interlake-Eastern RHA providing the care component. Services include: appetizing, home-cooked meals, laundry, housekeeping, recreation activites and on-site 24 hour supervision. All these services combined foster safety and well-being for seniors in a residence they are proud to call home. St. Laurent
Neil Gaudry Centre
Located on the shores of Lake Manitoba in the heart of cottage country, this 5 suite Supportive Housing complex is owned and operated by the RM of St. Laurent. The RM is responsible for the meals and housekeeping for the tenants with the Interlake-Eastern RHA being responsible for the care component. The Neil Gaudry Centre also offers on-suite 24 hour supervision for tenants.
