Congregate Meal Programs

Congregate meal programs have been developed to assist seniors and elders who may be at nutritional risk. This rise arises due to inability to prepare or access meals. The program strives to provide hot nutritious meals to those at risk with consideration for dietary needs of the older adult and the older adult with diabetes. Congregate meals also fulfill social needs by bringing seniors and elders together to eliminate the loneliness often associated with eating alone.

Meals on Wheels ​​​​​​​​​​​​

Most congregate meal programs have a meals on wheels program or some type of informal take out service for those seniors who are unable to attend the program in person. Inquiries or arrangements for these services can be made to the individual programs listed above.
